01Overview

Running a logistics & supply chain organisation.

Fasttrade builds operational software for larger logistics and supply chain companies: booking and dispatch systems, tracking, driver and warehouse apps, rate and billing engines, and customer portals. We work with your operations and IT teams and connect to the transport, warehouse and finance systems you already use.

Logistics in Malaysia ranges from container haulage around Port Klang and Penang to warehousing in the Klang Valley and Negeri Sembilan, and last-mile delivery to towns across the peninsula and East Malaysia. For a group with several depots, subsidiaries and customers, much of the coordination can still happen through phone calls, WhatsApp groups and paper delivery orders.

Corporate shippers now expect live status, proof of delivery and data they can feed into their own systems. Meeting that depends on accurate input from drivers and warehouse staff who are busy, on the move and often sharing devices, so usability in the field matters as much as the back-end design.

02Common challenges

What we hear most often.

  1. 01

    Visibility across depots and fleets

Dispatchers chase drivers by phone for updates while customers call asking where their goods are. Each depot or subsidiary may keep its own records, so there is no single view.

  2. 02

    Proof of delivery

Signed paper delivery orders get lost or arrive days late, which delays billing and prolongs disputes with large customers.

  3. 03

    Billing complexity

Charges vary by weight, distance, waiting time, tolls and surcharges, and customers have contract rates. Invoices are slow to prepare and easy to get wrong, and e-invoicing under MyInvois adds data discipline.

  4. 04

    Customer system integration

Large shippers send orders by API, file export or EDI, each in a different format. Every integration needs its own mapping and testing, and the volume of one-off connections adds up.

  5. 05

    Exceptions and handoffs

Failed deliveries, damaged goods and reschedules pass between dispatch, warehouse and customer service without a clear owner, and nobody sees the full history of a job.

03How we help

Where software makes the difference.

  • 01

    Custom software and SaaS

Fasttrade can scope and build a transport management layer: bookings, dispatch and job allocation, status tracking, contract rate calculation, exception handling and customer integrations by API, file or EDI. We start by following a job from booking to invoice across your depots, then agree phases, usually beginning with the step that costs the most. BukuCloud, which is live, can handle invoicing and receivables ageing.

  • 02

    Websites and mobile apps

We can build driver apps for job lists, status updates, photo or signature proof of delivery and GPS capture, with offline storage and later sync for weak coverage. We can also build warehouse handheld or tablet apps, a customer tracking portal and a corporate website. Scoping covers the Android and iOS devices your drivers carry, device management, and how data reaches dispatch and billing.

  • 03

    Buku products

BukuCloud is live and covers invoicing, bills, receivables ageing and the P&L. BukuHR, for HR and administration across depots and shift-based staff, is in development. BukuOP, for tracking tasks, exceptions and handoffs between dispatch and the warehouse, and BukuCRM, for customer accounts and enquiries, are available on enquiry. We review your current tools first and confirm fit and availability before any commitment.

05FAQ

Questions we are asked

Can you build a driver app that works with poor mobile coverage?

Yes, apps can store updates on the phone and sync when the signal returns, which helps on rural routes, long highway stretches and basement loading bays. Offline behaviour, photo capture, signatures and GPS use are agreed in the scope, along with the Android and iOS devices your drivers actually carry.

Can the system connect to our customers' platforms?

Often, if the customer provides an API, file export or EDI format. Integration work is scoped per customer because each one sends orders differently. We usually start with the customers that generate the most bookings and add others in later phases, so the core system can go live sooner.

We run on spreadsheets and WhatsApp today. Where should we start?

Start with the step that costs the most time or money, which is often proof of delivery or billing. We map how a job moves from booking to invoice, then build or configure tools for that step first. A smaller first release gives drivers and office staff time to adjust before more of the process moves over.
