Technology & SaaS
Platform engineering, portals and apps for established Malaysian technology companies and corporate product teams.

01Overview
Running a technology & saas organisation.
Fasttrade works with larger technology and SaaS organisations that need more build capacity or a specific system delivered: a customer-facing platform, an internal admin console, a partner portal, a billing module or a mobile client. We build to your architecture and standards, and work alongside your own engineers rather than around them.
At enterprise scale, the hard part is rarely the first release. It is the number of teams that touch the product: engineering, security, finance, legal and customer success, each with its own sign-off. Many Malaysian technology companies also run a mix of newer services and older systems, and sell into Singapore, Indonesia or further afield, which brings multi-currency billing, tax treatment and support-hours questions into the design.
Corporate buyers who adopt a SaaS product bring their own demands as well: single sign-on, audit logs, data residency questions, PDPA 2010 obligations and security questionnaires. Building these in from the start costs less than adding them after the first large customer asks.
02Common challenges
What we hear most often.
- 01
Engineering capacity against the roadmap
Product plans grow faster than hiring. Experienced engineers are in demand across the region, so teams look for a delivery partner who can take a defined module without disturbing the core codebase.
- 02
Subscription and usage billing
Annual contracts, seat changes, usage charges, credit notes and multi-entity invoicing make revenue hard to read. Invoices, receivables and the finance ledger all need to agree with what each customer was charged.
- 03
Enterprise customer requirements
Large customers ask for single sign-on, role-based access, audit trails and security reviews. These are easier to design in early than to retrofit into a product built for smaller accounts.
- 04
Legacy systems and integrations
Customer data often lives in older systems, spreadsheets or a separate CRM. Connecting these to the platform without breaking existing reports takes careful mapping and testing.
- 05
Handover from sales to delivery
Commitments made during a long sales cycle reach the implementation team incomplete. Without a shared record, onboarding slips and renewal conversations start from a weak position.
03How we help
Where software makes the difference.
- 01
Custom software and SaaS
Fasttrade can scope and build a defined part of your product or internal platform: multi-tenant account management, subscription billing logic, role-based access, audit logging, reporting and APIs for partners. We start with your architecture, security requirements and release process, then agree modules and milestones. Where you already have a core team, we work to your code review and testing standards. BukuCloud, which is live, can handle the company's own invoicing and receivables.
- 02
Websites and mobile apps
We can build and maintain the corporate website and product marketing pages, a customer portal or help centre, and native or cross-platform mobile clients that connect to your existing APIs. Scoping covers design system reuse, accessibility, performance targets, analytics and how releases move through your app store and review process. Content structure is planned around how enterprise buyers research and compare vendors.
- 03
Buku products
BukuCloud is live cloud accounting for invoicing, bills, receivables and the P&L, with accountant access. BukuHR, for HR and administration, is in development. BukuCRM, for sales pipeline and the handover into onboarding, and BukuReach, for campaign planning, are available on enquiry. Which products fit depends on your entity structure and existing finance and CRM tools, so we review those first and confirm fit and availability before any commitment.

05FAQ
Questions we are asked
Can Fasttrade build or extend our SaaS platform?
Yes, we build custom software and SaaS platforms, either as a complete system or as defined modules that sit alongside your own team's work. We begin with a scoping stage covering architecture, integrations, security expectations and who approves what. Timelines and cost depend on that scope, so we do not quote them before it is done.
Do we need to issue e-invoices to our subscribers?
Requirements for LHDN e-invoicing through MyInvois depend on your business profile, so confirm your obligations with LHDN or your tax agent. BukuCloud covers invoicing, bills and receivables. If your subscription platform generates its own invoices, raise this during scoping so the data flow to your accounts is planned properly.
How do you handle customer data and PDPA 2010?
Security and data handling are scoped at the start of each project: access controls, encryption, hosting location, logging and how personal data is collected, stored and deleted. If your customers or your group security team have vendor requirements, share them early so they become part of the specification and testing. We do not give legal advice on PDPA compliance.
