01Overview

Running a manufacturing organisation.

Fasttrade builds software for larger manufacturers: work order and production tracking, quality control and batch traceability, shop-floor tablet and mobile apps, supplier and purchasing portals, and management reporting that draws on your existing ERP and machine data. We work with plant, IT and procurement teams, and design around systems already in place.

Malaysian manufacturing covers electrical and electronics, rubber gloves, food processing, plastics, furniture and metal fabrication, with clusters in Penang, Johor, Selangor and Negeri Sembilan, including the industrial areas around Senawang and Nilai. Many plants supply multinational customers or exporters and have to meet their quality and documentation standards.

In a group with several plants, production data is often scattered: an ERP for orders and finance, separate systems per site, and printed job cards or spreadsheets on the floor. That holds up until volume grows, a key planner is away or a customer audit asks for traceability on a specific batch.

    Work order tracking across plants

    Planners struggle to see which jobs are on which machines, what is running late and what is waiting for materials, especially when each plant has its own way of recording this.

    Quality holds and traceability

    When a batch fails inspection, the hold, rework and release decisions need recording so they can be traced during customer audits.

    ERP and shop-floor integration

    Production data on the floor has to reach the ERP for costing and stock. Older machines and legacy systems may offer little in the way of interfaces, so integration needs careful scoping.

    Supplier lead times

    Late raw materials push back production, and purchasing often finds out only when the line stops. Visibility across suppliers and sites is limited.

    Costing and e-invoicing data

    Without reliable data on scrap, overtime and machine time, quoted prices drift from true cost. Where MyInvois applies, invoice data from production and sales also needs to be consistent.

    Custom software and SaaS

    Fasttrade can scope and build a manufacturing execution layer beside your ERP: work orders, production logging, quality holds and release, batch traceability, supplier delivery tracking and plant-level dashboards. We start by reviewing your ERP, machine data sources and each plant's process, then agree phases, often starting with one plant or one process. BukuCloud, which is live, can handle accounts and supplier bills where it suits.

    Websites and mobile apps

    We can build tablet and mobile apps for operators and supervisors: job start and stop, quality checks, defect capture with photos, barcode or QR scanning, and shift handover notes, in Bahasa Malaysia, English or other languages as needed. We can also build a supplier portal and the corporate website. Scoping covers shared terminals, network coverage on the floor, and testing the flow with operators before release.

    Buku products

    BukuCloud is live and covers invoicing, supplier bills, receivables and the P&L. BukuHR, in development, is intended for people records, requests and approvals for shift-based teams across sites. BukuOP, for tracking tasks, exceptions and handoffs between shifts, is available on enquiry. Which products fit depends on your existing ERP and HR tools, so we review those first and confirm fit and availability before any commitment.

Questions we are asked

Do we need a full ERP, or can we start smaller?

You can start with the process that hurts most, such as work orders or quality records, and add modules later. A focused custom system can be built to connect with your existing ERP or accounting software. We review your current tools and data first, then recommend whether to extend, integrate or replace.

Can operators use the system on the shop floor?

Floor screens can be designed for tablets or shared terminals, with large buttons, barcode or QR scanning, and Bahasa Malaysia or other language options where needed. We test the flow with operators before release, because a system that slows the line down will not be used.

How do we handle e-invoicing for our customers?

Requirements for LHDN e-invoicing through MyInvois depend on your business, so confirm your obligations with LHDN or your tax agent. BukuCloud handles invoicing, SST on invoices, bills and receivables. If e-invoicing needs to link with a custom production system or your ERP, raise it during scoping so the data flow is planned from the start.
