Real Estate & Construction
Project, sales and finance systems for developers and contractors running several projects at once.

01Overview
Running a real estate & construction organisation.
Fasttrade is a Malaysian software house that builds custom software and SaaS platforms, corporate websites and mobile apps for large organisations. In property and construction, that usually means project tracking and progress claim systems, apps for site teams and buyers, launch websites, and Buku business software for sales, operations and accounts.
The sector mixes very different businesses: housing developers, main contractors, subcontractors, consultants, property agencies and building managers. A single development can involve dozens of parties and a long timeline, with payments released in stages against certified progress. For a group with many projects running together, documents and approvals pile up quickly.
Developers also run sales launches, collect booking fees, follow buyers through bank loan approval and hand over units at vacant possession. Contractors deal with site diaries, variation orders and subcontractor claims. In many groups, much of this still moves through email, paper forms and WhatsApp, with each project keeping its own records.
02Common challenges
What we hear most often.
- 01
Progress claims and cash flow
Claims have to match certified work and contract terms. A delay in certification holds up payment all the way down the chain, and head office often sees the position only after month-end.
- 02
Site to head office reporting
Site diaries, photos and defect lists reach the office late or incomplete, so management sees problems across projects only after they have grown.
- 03
Variation orders and approvals
Changes agreed on site need pricing, approval at the right level and documentation before they turn into disputes. Group approval rules are hard to enforce on paper.
- 04
Sales follow-up across launches
Leads from launches, agents and online ads arrive in bulk and need fast follow-up through booking, loan approval and SPA signing, usually alongside existing sales admin systems.
- 05
Defects after handover
Buyer complaints during the defect liability period need logging, assignment to the right contractor and confirmed closure, with a record that stays with the project.
03How we help
Where software makes the difference.
- 01
Custom software and SaaS
Fasttrade can scope and build systems for progress claim tracking, variation order approval, site diaries and defect management, with reporting that rolls up across projects for group management. The work would connect to your existing accounting, ERP or sales admin systems where possible. BukuOP, available on enquiry, can also follow site tasks and exceptions between site and office.
- 02
Websites and mobile apps
A corporate website can present the group and each development, with enquiry forms routed to the right sales team. Mobile apps can let site supervisors submit daily reports, photos and defect lists, and give buyers a view of construction updates and handover defect reporting. We would agree the first release with your project, sales and IT teams, then phase later features.
- 03
Buku products
BukuCloud is live and covers invoicing, bills and receivables ageing, so overdue claims are easy to spot. BukuCRM, available on enquiry, can track leads, bookings and the handover to sales admin. BukuHR is in development and is intended for staff records and administration. BukuReach, for marketing, is also available on enquiry, and can support project launch campaigns.

05FAQ
Questions we are asked
Can you build a buyer portal for our development?
A buyer portal or app can show payment schedules, construction progress updates, documents and defect reporting after handover. The scope depends on what your sales admin and finance systems can share. A sensible first release covers progress updates and defect reporting, with payment and document features added in later phases.
Can site staff submit reports from their phones?
A mobile app can let supervisors submit daily reports, photos, manpower counts and defect lists from site, including where coverage is weak, with data syncing back to the office system once a connection returns. We would design the forms with your site teams so they stay short and do not become a second job at the end of the day.
Can new software work with our existing ERP or accounting system?
Often, yes, but it depends on what interfaces your current systems offer. We would review them with your IT team before scoping, then decide whether to integrate through an API, scheduled file exchange or a reporting layer. Some older systems have limited options, and we would tell you that early rather than assume it will work.
